Aurélien Quarroz

Aurélien is in his 3rd year of the Industrial Systems bachelor programme, with a focus on design and materials. He immediately liked this field, which combines physical, mechanical and energetic concepts, and this motivated him to complete his training with a Master's degree in employment. During this period, he joined the Hydro Alps Lab as a research assistant. In this competent and caring team, he had the chance to take part in a wide range of projects that enabled him to work on numerical flow simulation, laboratory experiments, on-site measurements, mechanical design and to discover the world of the hydroelectric industry. Today, he works as a project manager at Jacquier-Luisier SA, a company that specialises in mechanical engineering and manufactures small hydroelectric turbines. He uses the skills he acquired during my time in the Hydro Alps Lab on a daily basis, and is proud to be playing an active part in the energy transition.
