Emilie Neveu is an engineer and researcher specialising in applied mathematics and computer science. She holds a PhD from the University of Grenoble (2011), and during her post-doctorates (USA, France and Switzerland) she developed optimisation algorithms (data assimilation) for physical oceanography and machine learning for molecular biology. Since 2022, she has been a professor at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis and, since June 2024, head of the STREAM partnership with BlueArk, which aims to foster innovation and digitisation in water management. She is involved in the Hydro Alps Lab, where, with her STREAM team, she contributes her skills in hydrology and digital technology, working in particular on short-term machine learning prediction, hydrological input calculations for dams, and optimisation for the management of hydroelectric schemes.
