Benjamin Quilichini

Biography

Benjamin Quilichini has been a doctoral student at the HES-SO in the Hydro Alps Lab since October 2025. He is doing his thesis as part of the European RevHydro project, in partnership with Luleå Tekniska Universitet, where he is focusing on the modelling of roughness-turbulence interaction in CFD software used in industry. He studied mechanical engineering at EPFL, where he completed a master's thesis in partnership with the University of Cambridge, studying the reduction of surface friction in turbulent flow over anisotropic roughness (riblets) using DNS simulations.
